Last Friday night me and my very besties got together to discuss some of the many benefits of being a slut. Now we have been celebrating Slutember all month at Femdom Fridays, so its been sluts, sluts, and more sluts all month long. I’m in heaven, if we are being honest. If there is one thing I can say about the Mistresses of Femdom Fridays, it’s that they truly know how to appreciate a sweet little slut. The Benefits of Being a Slut

1) Sluts have more fun. They are more fun too.
The unanimous and immediate benefit we all identified was simply the notion that sluts have more fucking fun! More pleasure, more orgasms, more connections. Sex feels really good, especially with people who are good at it and can give you yummy orgasms. Being a slut is rewarding just for the orgasms alone. But it’s not just the orgasms- flirting, dressing slutty and being provocative are all really fun activities that a slut enjoys in spades.

2) They bring pleasure to those around them.

Because sluts maintain multiple relationships with multiple partners, they tend to have high than average communication skills, conflict resolution skills and people skills overall… both in the bedroom and out of it.

4) Sluts challenge toxic biases in society.
Just being a slut in today’s society, existing as a sexual person, can be revolutionary. We discussed the impact of the SlutWalk, a transnational demonstration of sluts against sexual assault, in terms of sluts challenging the notion that they deserve bad things to happen to them because of how they dress or who they fuck.

5) Reclaiming our inner slut can be healing for women.
Despite the fact the manwhores exist, the term slut has always been used to target and shame women’s sexuality specifically. I think that reclaiming that word with pride can be very healing and therapeutic for women, as can unashamedly indulging in our sexuality full stop. And what’s healing for women is healing for the world.

6) Sluts connect deeply with people.
Sluts are uniquely positioned to connect deeply and love immensely. Adis Fouche, in her article “The life lessons that I discovered from being a whore”, had this to say about being a whore:

“I have learned to love by listening; I have learned to love with confidence; I have learned to love without intimidation – because that is how my real friends love me. Through practicing love this way, I’ve also learned to love myself like that too, and I now know that this is the only way that I can love. I love fearlessly”.

Being a slut is a mindset of loving fully and intentionally, and this world would be a better place if we were all a bit more slutty.
